1. Why can the Coriolis mass flow meter directly measure the mass flow of fluid in a closed pipeline? The mass flow meter is a new type of direct measurement instrument manufactured based on the Coriolis force principle. Its structure generally consists of two parts: a signal measurement sensor and a signal converter. Due to its ability to directly measure the mass flow rate of fluid droplets, high measurement accuracy, wide application range, low installation requirements, reliable instrument operation, and low maintenance rate, the Coriolis mass flowmeter has been widely used for flow measurement in fields such as petroleum, chemical, metallurgical, thermal, power, and food. The working principle is that the vibration of the flow tube in the sensor housing has its natural frequency. The vibration tube is driven by an electromagnetic drive coil installed at the end of the vibration tube to vibrate approximately like a tuning fork. When the fluid flows into the flow tube, it is forced to accept the vertical movement of the flow tube. During the half cycle of upward vibration of the flow tube, the fluid exerts a downward force on the flow tube against the increase in vertical momentum caused by the upward movement of the tube. On the contrary, the fluid flowing out of the flow tube exerts an upward force on the flow tube to resist the upward vibration of the tube and reduce its vertical momentum. This resulted in distortion of the flow tube. In the other half of the vibration cycle, the flow tube vibrates downwards, and the direction of distortion is opposite. This distortion phenomenon is called the Coriolis phenomenon. According to Newtons second law, the amount of distortion in a flow tube is directly proportional
to the mass flow rate passing through it. Electromagnetic signal detectors installed on both sides of the flow tube are used to detect the vibration of the vibrating tube. The magnitude of the mass flow rate is determined by the phase difference between these two signals. When there is no fluid flowing through the flow tube, the tube does not twist, and the detection signals of the electromagnetic signal detectors on both sides are in phase. When there is fluid flowing through the tube, the tube twists, resulting in a phase difference between the three detection signals, which is directly proportional to the mass flow rate flowing through it. Main advantages: 1. Suitable for multiple media 2. High measurement accuracy 3. Low requirements for installing straight pipe sections 4. Good reliability 5. Low maintenance rate 6. Disadvantages of having a core processor: 1. When the pipeline is subjected to external vibration, it will seriously affect the measurement accuracy!! 2. The cost is too high! 2. Which Chinese Coriolis mass flowmeter is better?
