PTFE, PFA, and rubber linings protect a flow meter from corrosion. That same lining blocks the electrical bond between the liquid and the pipe. n the meter flange and the pipeline flange on each side. Never rely on the pipe bolts for grounding. Use a braided copper cable with a cross section of at least 6 mm2. Connect the cable to a plant earth bar. Target ground resistance below 10 ohms. On sites with heavy VFD noise, aim for below 4 ohms.


Add gaskets on both faces of each grounding ring. Check that the ring does not reduce the inner diameter enough to change the flow profile. For hot fluids above 90 °C, consider thermal expansion when you select ring thickness and gasket material.
